J.D. Vance sem*n Cups, also known as the Full Family Kit or J.D. Vance ji*zz Cups, refers to a purported piece of J.D. Vance merch sold at 2024 Donald Trump rallies that looks like a cup of sem*n with the Ohio Senator's face on it. The cups were said to be at the expense of Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz and his wife's infertility issues, aiming at their usage of in vitro fertilization (IVF) to have children. They also seemingly aimed to subvert the J.D. Vance Couch Story Hoax, similar to the subversion of Donald Trump's rumored diaper-wearing in the Trump Supporters Wearing Diapers ("Real Men Wear Diapers") trend earlier in the year. Alleged photos of MAGA supporters holding J.D. Vance "Full Family Kits" went viral on Twitter / X in mid-August 2024, adding to the Republicans Are Weird stereotype for many liberals and anti-Trump voices. However, it's currently unconfirmed where the photographs originate and what the context behind them is. Many internet users were skeptical that the original poster (@UsaCamy) was a troll and that the photos were fake, possibly making it a hoax or a prank.

Origin

On August 17th, 2024, X^[1] user @UsaCamy tweeted three images featuring a mock sperm cup with J.D. Vance's face on it, reading in all caps, "JD VANCE FULL FAMILY KIT." One image showed a woman sitting down and holding one. Another showed a bearded man holding one. The third showed only the cup without the blue lid and the white-colored liquid spilled out. @UsaCamy captioned the images akin to the "Republicans Are Weird" slogan, receiving over 3,100 likes in two days (shown below).

Spread

On August 18th, 2024, X^[2] user @Esqueer_ replied to the abovementioned post, writing, "They're going to have to invent a whole new word because weird isn't enough." Then, X^[3] user @Esqueer_ posted her own tweet that included new images of Trump supporters holding the cups, captioned, "Babe wake up, MAGA is carrying around JD Vance ji*zz cups." The tweet received over 49,000 likes in a day (shown below).

The abovementioned tweet inspired viral quotes and memes, like one shared by X^[4] user @synoizia on August 18th, 2024, that referenced the Ben Garrison sem*n Comics, receiving over 55,000 likes in a day (shown below, left).

Posts about the cups also surfaced on Reddit. For instance, on August 17th, Redditor^[5] wrapityup shared screenshots to /r/WhitePeopleTwitter, writing, "If this isn't weird I don't know what is," receiving over 14,000 upvotes in two days (shown below, right).

Viral posts also surfaced on Threads. ^[10]

Hoax Speculation

In the original tweet from X^[1] user Camille Thompson (@UsaCamy), it's not stated where the images were taken or sourced from. Additionally, in X^[3] user @Esqueer_'s viral tweet, more images are included without citation.

On August 19th, 2024, X^[6] user @elisethoma5 started a thread on the original poster Camille Thompson (@UsaCamy), speculating that the account was using "an AI generated profile pic" and that "the account was created Nov 23, has been dormant for months, woke up three days ago…" The tweet received over 1,400 likes in less than a day (shown below).

In subsequent replies to the thread, X^[7] user @elisethoma5 noted, "I have not yet seen anyone claiming to be able to independently corroborate the existence of the ji*zz cups." Furthermore, @elisethoma5 allegedly ran one of the photos through an AI image identifying tool, which was "uncertain" about the image's authenticity (shown below).

Similarly, a thread was outlined on /r/Destiny by Redditor^[8] MashStars on August 18th, 2024, in which they were also skeptical of the Full Family Kits. The Redditor believed that the cups could have been handed out to Trump supporters by a prankster at a rally rather than being AI-generated.

In a thread on 4chan's /pol/, ^[9] users also speculated that the cups were handed out by a troll.
