These are formal charges introduced into the Sumner County District Court system. The suspects listed in the complaint have not been tried by a judge or jury unless specified otherwise. All citizens are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

State of Kansas vs. William Moore

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000203.Year of Birth:1987.

Address:Wellington.Date of the alleged crime: May 9, 2024.

1 — Battery, Class B misdemeanor.

Description:Moore is accused of striking another person in the head, leaving marks on his forehead and left side of his face.

State of Kansas vs. Shawntica Lynnsha Friday

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000204.Year of Birth:1980.

Address:Topeka, Kans.Date of the alleged crime: July 21, 2024.

1 — No proof of insurance, Class B misdemeanor.

2 — Possession of drug paraphernalia for use, Class B misdemeanor.

3 — Possession of marijuana, Class B misdemeanor.

4 — Transporting open container, unclassified misdemeanor.

Description: During a traffic stop, Friday is accused of possessing a small amount of marijuana, transporting a small bottle of Crown Royal in the back seat, and having drug paraphernalia like paper sacks and plastic bags. The defendant also allegedly had no insurance.

State of Kansas vs. Mary Elizabeth Jacobs

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000205.Year of Birth:1988.

Address:Wichita.Date of the alleged crime: May 17, 2024.

1 — Possession of marijuana, Class B misdemeanor.

2 — Possession of drug paraphernalia for use, Class B misdemeanor.

Description:Jacobs is accused of possessing two bags of marijuana during a traffic stop after having potential window tint violations.

State of Kansas vs. Jarid Lee Caldwell

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000206.Year of Birth:1975.

Address:Wichita.Date of the alleged crime: July 31, 2024.

1 — Battery on a law enforcement officer, Class A misdemeanor.

2 — Disorderly conduct, Class C misdemeanor.

Description: Caldwell is accused of dumping beer on a Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission law enforcement officer after he was asked to leave the casino.

State of Kansas vs. Sharon Renee Nichols

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000207.Year of Birth: 1977

Address:Wellington.Date of the alleged crime: March 23, 2024.

1 — Possession of marijuana (THC), Class B misdemeanor.

2 — Possession of drug paraphernalia for use, Class B misdemeanor.

3 — Driving while suspended, Class B misdemeanor.

Description: Nichols is accused of possessing a vape pen that contained THC. She also allegedly possessed clear plastic bags with methamphetamine residue, glass pipe with meth residue, clear glass vials with meth residue, 18 syringes, and a metal spoon with meth residue. Nichols also had a suspended license since April 2022 for failing to pay citations.

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000208.Year of Birth:1987.

Address:Wellington.Date of the alleged crime: April 23, 2024.

1 — Assault, Class C misdemeanor.

Description:Hoffman is accused during an argument of threatening another male individual with a .22 firearm.

State of Kansas vs. Jennifer Lane Koehler

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000209.Year of Birth:1981.

Address:Montgomery, Texas.Date of the alleged crime: July 28, 2024.

1 — Aggravated interference with parental custody, level 7 felony.

Description: Koehler is accused of refusing to return her children at the expiration of a court order to do so. According to the complaint, Koehler lawfully took her child, exercising her visitation rights. However, according to the divorce terms, she was required to return the children after four weeks during the summer, i.e. June 29, 2024. However, she did not do so until well past July 29. The Montgomery County Texas Sheriff got involved and took the children from their mother and returned them to their father.

State of Kansas vs. Shiloh Nader Chase

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000210.Year of Birth:1992.

Address:Oxford.Date of the alleged crime: Aug. 3, 2024.

1 — Theft, level 9 felony.

2 — Theft, Class A misdemeanor.

Description: Chase is accused of taking money from honor boxes at three separate food stand establishments within a 72-hour period. The defendant also acknowledged doing the same thing 10 different times since 2023. The defendant also allegedly stole two tomatoes from the Flying Toad Produce Stand.

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000211.Year of Birth:1986.

Address:Wellington.Date of the alleged crime: May 29, 2024.

1 — Theft, level 9 felony.

Description: Davis is accused of stealing air conditioner units and parts from Wild About Hair, Hummingbird Printing, and Argonia Quick Pick #8 all valued at around $11,821.

State of Kansas vs. Patrick Steven Grable

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000212.Year of Birth:1978.

Address:Wellington.Date of the alleged crime: May 29, 2024.

1 — Theft, level 9 felony.

Description: Grable is accused of stealing air conditioner units and parts from Wild About Hair, Hummingbird Printing, and Argonia Quick Pick #8 all valued at around $11,821.

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000213.Year of Birth:1991.

Address:Mulvane.Date of the alleged crime: August 6, 2024.

1 — Domestic battery, Class B misdemeanor.

Description:Dietrich is accused of shoving his father with two hands and then striking his brother in the face.

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000214.Year of Birth:1989

Address:Clearwater.Date of the alleged crime: Aug. 9, 2024.

1 — Battery, Class B misdemeanor.

Description:Batemon is accused of punching and scratching a male victim multiple times during a dispute.

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000215.Year of Birth:1964.

Address:Yukon, Okla.Date of the alleged crime: August 10, 2024.

1 — Battery, Class B misdemeanor.

Description:Gaultney is accused of grabbing a security officer by the neck after being asked to leave a gaming table at the Kansas Star Casino.

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000216.Year of Birth: 1991.

Address:Geuda Springs.Date of the alleged crime: Aug. 11, 2024.

1 — Domestic battery, Class B misdemeanor.

Description:Lewis is accused of pulling the hair of a household member.

State of Kansas vs. Joseph Lee Elliott

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000217.Year of Birth:1973.

Address:Wellington.Date of the alleged crime: July 26, 2024.

1 — Theft, level 9 felony.

Description: Elliott is accused of stealing $2,471.56 of electricity. After the City of Wellington had his utilities shut off at 617 N. Olive St. on April 3, 2023, due to non-payment, he allegedly used a jumper wire from the exterior power wires in the house to obtain power, according to the complaint. A City of Wellington Utilities Department worker discovered the wire on July 26.

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000218.Year of Birth:1961.

Address:Wichita.Date of the alleged crime: July 19, 2024.

1 — Theft, Class A misdemeanor.

Description: Harviston is accused of taking a payment voucher belonging to someone else and not returning it.

State of Kansas vs. Gerald Wayne Adams

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000219.Year of Birth:1972.

Address:Sharon, Kans.Date of the alleged crime: August 2, 2024.

1 — Theft, level 9 felony.

Description:Adams is accused of stealing a 2004 Ford F250 pickup in Wichita valued at $12,000.

State of Kansas vs. Andrew James Loyd

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000220.Year of Birth:1984.

Address:Wichita.Date of the alleged crime: March 8, 2024.

1 — Criminal trespass, Class B misdemeanor.

2 — Interference with law enforcement, Class A misdemeanor.

Description: Loyd is accused of trespassing at the Kansas Star Casino. According to the complaint, Loyd is part of the Kansas Voluntary Exclusion Program and thus can not be on any casino premises in Kansas. This information was discovered during an investigation of a potentially false jackpot claim.

State of Kansas vs. Haley Goodman

Case Number:SU-2024-CR-000221.Year of Birth:1988.

Address:WellingtonDate of the alleged crime: April 6, 2024.

1 — Theft, Class A misdemeanor.

2 — Possession of Hydrocodone, level 5 felony.

3 — Theft, Class A misdemeanor.

Description: Goodman is accused of stealing merchandise from Dillons Grocery Store less than $1,500. Also, allegedly, after filling her father’s prescriptions, she took six of his hydrocodone pills without his permission.
